Dr. H.R. Gough is a proud 1976 graduate of Purdue University. He has spent more than 37 years in Veterinary medicine and surgery. He has been serving Clarksville, Indiana and the surrounding areas since May of 1978, when he opened Clarksville Animal Hospital on Eastern Boulevard. Dr. Gough has managed and operated as a solo practitioner from the beginning. His wife, Karen, worked alongside him for many years as he grew his client base.
Dr. Gough and his wife, Karen, have been married since June of 1970. They have three daughters; Megan, Laura and Erin as well as two grandchildren; Ashton and Tristan. They have a French Bulldog named Emma.

He is very proud and honored to donate his services to the following K-9 units: Jeffersonville Police, Clarksville Police, Indiana State Police, Clark County Sheriff, Sellersburg Police, Charlestown Police and Utica Township. His passion for the care and well-being of animals has earned him a loyal customer base and recognition by the city of Clarksville, naming June 2, 2007 as Dr. Gough Day for his professionalism in taking care of Police Dogs.
